Borussia Dortmund sign Norwegian striker Haaland

Dortmund [Germany], Dec 29 (ANI): German club Borussia Dortmund on Sunday signed Erling Braut Haaland from Red Bull Salzburg on a contract till the summer of 2024.
The 19-year-old scored 28 goals in 22 games for Salzburg this season, including eight in the six Champions League group stage.
"I had intensive discussions with the club's management, especially with Hans-Joachim Watzke, Michael Zorc, and manager Lucien Favre," Haaland told Dortmund's website.
"There was a feeling right from the start that I absolutely wanted to join this club, go down this route and play football in this incredible Dortmund atmosphere in front of more than 80,000 spectators. I'm already itching to get started," he added.
Dortmund CEO Watzke was similarly excited to beat a number of top clubs to Haaland's signature.
"Despite many offers from some absolute top clubs from all over Europe, Erling has decided to join the project at BVB and the vision we have shown him. Our tenacity has paid off," Watzke said.
The Norwegian sensation, linked with Manchester United, Juventus and RB Leipzig among others, will join his new team-mates on January 3 after moving for a reported 20 million euros. (ANI)

RB Leipzig's Jean-Kevin Augustin joins Leeds United on loan

Leeds [UK], Jan 27 (ANI): German football club RB Leipzig's Jean-Kevin Augustin on Monday joined Leeds United on a loan. The striker joins the Whites on an initial loan deal until the end of the season from Bundesliga outfit Red Bull Leipzig, the club said in a statement. Augustin joined the RB Leipzig in July, 2017 for a fee of 13 million Euros. The 22-year-old featured in both the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League during his time with the German club, who finished sixth and third in his two seasons, where he scored 20 goals in 67 matches. French national helped his country win the European Under-19 Championship in 2016, where he scored the most number of goals and was adjudged as player of the tournament.
