What to expect in the World Cup semis!

1.Can Belgium’s Golden Generation deliver against pre-tournament favourites France?

2.The European neighbours have the strongest teams on paper and have played some of the most exciting football at the World Cup so far.

3.With Mbappe, Dembele, Pogba and Griezmann, France have a relatively young team oozing quality. But do they have the maturity to go all the way?

4.For Belgium, it could be the last World Cup for a lot of players who are approaching 30. The pressure of a place in a World Cup final might get to a team that has virtually no experience playing big international matches!

5.Both teams have solid defences and assured goalkeepers so it will fall to the attacking players to take their chances and make a difference.

6.England meanwhile have their task cut out if they are to beat a Croatian side that have won all their matches at this World Cup.

7.Harry Kane has led the English charge with 6 goals but the concern for them is that 8 out of the 11 English goals have come from set pieces.

8.Having won all their group matches, Croatia won their knockout matches on penalties so it remains to be seen how tired they are.

9.This young English side has played as a unit and come so far. Gareth Southgate’s men will be rearing to go all the way.

10.Croatia have a very strong midfield with the likes of Modric, Rakitic and Kovacic. England will have to nullify them if they are to triumph.

11.PREDICTION: Belgium to win 2-1 in normal time and Croatia to win it on penalties again.

London: Chelsea's Mateo Kovacic said they are a young team and need to improve a lot. Chelsea secured a 2-1 win over Hull City on Saturday in FA Cup. Michy Batshuayi scored the opening goal of the match in the sixth minute and Chelsea's second goal was scored in the 64th minute. "It was a tough game, as we knew that it would be, but we need to score in the first half two more goals. That's our problem in this moment but obviously we're happy to go through," the club's official website quoted Kovacic as saying.
