France are favourites going into the final

.The way France overcame Belgium as they marched into the World Cup final has suggested that whether it’s against England or Croatia, they will be favourites in the decider!

.Against a Belgium side that boasted of 10 EPL stars in their starting lineup, France were clearly the superior side.

.Eden Hazard and Kevin de Bruyne excelled for Belgium and they had some chances early on. But they failed to find the back of the net.

.Overall, it was France who dominated the match. Once they claimed the lead through Samuel Umtiti’s header, they dominated possession.

.At this World Cup, it is France who look to have found the right balance between attack and defence. They guard their goal well and counter attack with pace.

.Mbappe might still be just 19 but he put on another sizzling display of pace, power and trickery. He was a handful for the Belgian defence throughout the 90 minutes.

.Whether it is against England or Croatia, he is definitely going to be a nightmare for the opposition defence in Sunday’s final in Moscow.

.But it’s not all about him. The likes of Griezmann and Pogba were tirelessly pulling strings against Belgium. They will want to make a mark on the final as well.

.Olivier Giroud put on yet another solid shift but had nothing to show on the score sheet. He is really due a World Cup goal. What are the odds that he’ll score in the final?

But we've seen that he's struggled lately - but more when he's been tired," Goal.com quoted Solskjaer as saying. "He wasn't on long enough to be tired so I think it might have been something that just happened there and then. He's been absolutely top this season so we'll do everything we can to get him fit for Sunday. If he's not then we'll play without him," he added. "Paul is going to play when he gets his fitness. He is one of the best players in the world when he's in form and we just need to give him time to be 100 per cent fit," Goal.com quoted Solskjaer as saying. Pogba has endured a frustrating 2019-20 campaign to date, having only managed five Premier League appearances in total due to a string of fitness issues. He is currently recovering from an ankle injury and last played for the club on September 30 against Arsenal. Solskjaer had said that the France international will be out of action till December. "It might be 45 minutes in the first game, it might be half an hour, it might be 90. It depends on what game he comes back in and I'm looking back to get Paul back to where I had him about a year ago," Solskjaer said. ...
