Virat, Anushka visit Haridwar amidst engagement rumours

After one of the best years of his careers in 2016, is India's Test skipper Virat Kohli going the family way soon?

With Team India enjoying a nice break ahead of the One-day series that's scheduled to begin on January 15, the 28-year-old is likely to start the new season with a bang off the cricket pitch.

If rumours mills are to be believed Kohli and bollywood actor Anushka Sharma are to be engaged on New Year's Day.

Media reports have already started speculating on the guest list for what could be a closed-door engagement where the likes of Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan and industrialist Anil Ambani expected to attend the function.

The couple is presently vacationing in Utharakhand and made a surprise visit to the Anant Dham Atmabodh Ashram in Haridwar. The ashram is headed by Maharaj Anant Baba, who is Anushka's family's spiritual guru where the actress is a regular visitor.

Anushka, who is usually accompanied by family members, for the first time visited the ashram with boyfriend Virat on Tuesday night. After spending the night at the ashram, the couple reportedly left for their hotel in New Tehri early Wednesday morning.

Anushka has been regular to the ashram, visiting in December 2014 ahead of the release of her film PK and last year when she reportedly performed some rituals ahead of Team India's World Cup quarter-final encounter with Bangladesh.

ETV reported that the couple will exchange rings in a ceremony at the Ananda hotel in Narendra Nagar, Uttarakhand, where they are reportedly spending their vacation.

The couple was also spotted at the swish Ananda Spa and were photographed at a temple. Anushka and Virat have been dating each other since 2013 and went public with their romance in 2015. Earlier in 2016, there were reports that Virat and Anushka had split but they had patched up and got back together.

But we've seen that he's struggled lately - but more when he's been tired," Goal.com quoted Solskjaer as saying. "He wasn't on long enough to be tired so I think it might have been something that just happened there and then. He's been absolutely top this season so we'll do everything we can to get him fit for Sunday. If he's not then we'll play without him," he added. "Paul is going to play when he gets his fitness. He is one of the best players in the world when he's in form and we just need to give him time to be 100 per cent fit," Goal.com quoted Solskjaer as saying. Pogba has endured a frustrating 2019-20 campaign to date, having only managed five Premier League appearances in total due to a string of fitness issues. He is currently recovering from an ankle injury and last played for the club on September 30 against Arsenal. Solskjaer had said that the France international will be out of action till December. "It might be 45 minutes in the first game, it might be half an hour, it might be 90. It depends on what game he comes back in and I'm looking back to get Paul back to where I had him about a year ago," Solskjaer said. ...
