Eden track will not turn much: Ganguly

Kolkata: The pitch at the Eden Gardens is not going to turn much during the second Test match between India and New Zealand beginning on September 30, Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) president Sourav Ganguly said here on Tuesday.

"The pitch is not going to turn ... there is too much moisture and this is the first match of the season," said Ganguly.

"So unless something happens in the last two days, I don't see a lot of turn in the pitch," added the former national captain.

Meanwhile, the pitch was covered all day on Tuesday and so it is expected to be on the damper side.

The India and New Zealand cricket teams arrived in the city on Tuesday evening,Both the outfits reached the eastern metropolis from Kanpur via Lucknow. The Kiwis will miss spinner Mark Craig as he is injured. He has been replaced with Jeetan Patel.

Meanwhile, India will practice in the afternoon on Wednesday.

India lead the three-Test series 1-0, courtesy a 197-run win over the Kiwis in Kanpur.

Leeds [UK], Dec 7 (ANI): Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has praised midfielder Paul Pogba, saying that he is one of the best players in the world when he is in good touch.
