'Under Morgan, England has grown in strength'

England have stormed into the final of the ICC World Twenty20 in style. Under Eoin Morgan this team has grown in strength each game, learning from each setback and have developed a strong self-belief and desire to win big. Coming back from a mauling is never easy but that is exactly what England have done after they were struck by 'Gaylestorm'. They have recovered well and have held their nerve in close encounters which is what this format invariably provides.

Their openers Jason Roy and Alex Hales are the ones who begin the charge that unsettles the opponents and then even as Joe Root and skipper Morgan conjure gaps where there didn't seem one and steal runs from fielders hands comes Jos Buttler to give the finishing thrust and the killer blow. In the bowling, Morgan has used his options smartly and alternated his spinners and seamers according to the batsman on strike. England's bowlers have been by far the best at bowling the under the bat ball in this tournament to slow down the opposition. Ben Stokes has been outstanding in this and it is a scary thought for the other finalist that he hasn't as yet fired with the bat.

New Zealand lost their way after a good start and by the half way mark looked good to post a total near 200. That didn't happen simply because England tightened the screws and didn't allow the middle order to fire. Every single bowler used by Morgan came up with a terrific economy rate and stifled the Kiwis.

The Kiwis will be disappointed that they couldn't continue their run but they came up against a much better side. They have shown that in the post McCullum era they have the players to be a consistent team and a threat in the limited overs format but they need to find an impact player who can turn the game upside down like their erstwhile skipper used to do.

Manchester United to do everything to get Rashford ready for Liverpool clash

Leeds [UK], Jan 16 (ANI): Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said they will do 'everything' they can to get Marcus Rashford in shape for the Liverpool clash. Rashford sustained a back injury on Thursday during the FA Cup clash against Wolves on Thursday and left the field. "He's a quick healer and he'll play through some pain, definitely, if he's capable, if it's not a bad, bad injury. But we've seen that he's struggled lately - but more when he's been tired," Goal.com quoted Solskjaer as saying. "He wasn't on long enough to be tired so I think it might have been something that just happened there and then. He's been absolutely top this season so we'll do everything we can to get him fit for Sunday. If he's not then we'll play without him," he added. Pogba is one of best players when in form: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Leeds [UK], Dec 7 (ANI): Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has praised midfielder Paul Pogba, saying that he is one of the best players in the world when he is in good touch. "Paul is going to play when he gets his fitness. He is one of the best players in the world when he's in form and we just need to give him time to be 100 per cent fit," Goal.com quoted Solskjaer as saying. Pogba has endured a frustrating 2019-20 campaign to date, having only managed five Premier League appearances in total due to a string of fitness issues. He is currently recovering from an ankle injury and last played for the club on September 30 against Arsenal. Solskjaer had said that the France international will be out of action till December. "It might be 45 minutes in the first game, it might be half an hour, it might be 90. It depends on what game he comes back in and I'm looking back to get Paul back to where I had him about a year ago," Solskjaer said. ...
