Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has said that the club striker Anthony Martial "cannot have all the things he wants in life". Martial had, earlier, expressed a desire to leave the club after he saw his opportunities cut short under Jose Mourinho and following the arrival of the forward player Alexis Sanchez. "You cannot do whatever you want in life, I would love to arrive in Los Angeles, to train in Los Angeles and play all my five matches in Los Angeles, and then don't travel, don't change hotel and then go back to Manchester," Sports24 quoted Mourinho, as saying. Berlin: Germany's attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil announced his retirement from international football on Sunday, a month-and-a-half after his photo with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan sparked a controversy. Sunil Chhetri named 2017 AIFF Player of the Year

Mumbai: Indian football team captain Sunil Chhetri was named the 2017 All India Football Federation (AIFF) Player of the Year here on Sunday. Kamala Devi was adjudged the 2017 AIFF woman Player of the Year. Besides recently becoming the second Indian to play 100 international games after former star striker Baichung Bhutia, Chhetri is also the skipper of former I-League champions and current Super Cup holders Bengaluru FC. Meanwhile, Anirudh Thapa was declared the 2017 Emerging Player of the Year. E. Panthoi is the 2017 woman Emerging Player of the Year, the AIFF said in a statement.
